Exclusive: £17.5m Celtic-linked star tipped to exit PL high flyers after 'Amazing season'
Kevin Phillips has tipped Wolves attacker Daniel Podence to go out on loan next season with Celtic reportedly interested in his services.
The former Sunderland and Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed that a number of clubs would “queuing up” to sign the 24-year-old this summer.
The Mirror claim that Neil Lennon is keen to take Wanderers winger on loan next season.
Podence arrived at Molineux in January for £17.5million from Olympiakos but has struggled for game time.
The Portuguese forward has impressed in his handful of appearances but the form of Diogo Jota, Raul Jimenez, Adama Traore and Pedro Neto have kept him out of the side.
When asked by Football Insider if an exit could be on the cards this summer, Phillips said: “He should go out on loan.

“He has enjoyed a season of being a part of what has been an amazing season for Wolves and he will have learned a lot.
“He has not played a lot of football and next season is it really going to change? Traore might be sold but it looks unlikely at this moment. I would want to play football.
“I could see that move happening but there will be a few clubs queuing up to take Podence, I am sure.”
Nuno Espirito Santo has started the winger for the previous two fixtures and Podence caught the eye in both.
However, if he were to leave Molineux first team football would need to be guaranteed and with the likes of James Forrest, Mohamed Elyounoussi and Ryan Christie at Parkhead that could be difficult.
