Gabriel Agbonlahor has tipped Leeds United to "comfortably" beat Arsenal on Sunday if Kalvin Phillips returns to the starting XI.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley, the former Aston Villa and England striker pointed to the Whites' recent results as evidence that they have missed the 24-year-old.

Phillips has been absent for Leeds' last three Premier League games with a shoulder injury, including their 4-1 losses to Leicester City and Crystal Palace.

He revealed to teammate Leif Davis that he could take an injection before the game to help see him through.

Asked by Football Insider how much of a boost it would be for Leeds to have Phillips back, Agbonlahor said: “They've missed Phillips. He's the sort of player Leeds need back because since he's been gone, they've struggled.

I also think Hernandez should return to the side because he's a great player.

“I do actually think Leeds will beat Arsenal because they'll run them into the ground and Arsenal are not full of confidence at the moment.

“The game is at Elland Road, too.

“They'll be looking to get back to winning ways and Leeds will do well this season. They'll lose games but they'll win games and this is one of the games that I can see them winning comfortably.

“They’ve got the players.”

Phillips had started all five of Leeds' Premier League games before he suffered a shoulder injury against Wolves.

His form for Leeds earned him his first England call up in August and he now has four international caps.
