Exclusive: Liverpool star backed to seal new year exit after Klopp U-turn
Gabriel Agbonlahor has admitted he expects Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian to leave the club in 2021.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley, the former Aston Villa and England striker claimed the Spaniard will struggle to make the club’s matchday squad when Alisson returns from injury.
Young keeper Caoimhin Kelleher has started Liverpool’s last two games ahead of Adrian in the absence of the Brazilian.
The 22-year-old has impressed between the sticks and kept clean sheets against Ajax and Wolves on his Champions League and Premier League debuts.
His form has led the club to perform a U-turn on their January transfer plans and they will now offer Kelleher a bumper new contract instead of signing a new backup for Alisson.

Asked by Football Insider whether Adrian will now look to leave Liverpool, Agbonlahor said: “Yes, I think so.
“I can’t see Adrian getting back into the squad, I’m sure Kelleher will be the number two now at Liverpool.
“It was a shock transfer when it even happened. I’m sure all Liverpool fans were shocked.
“He’ll get another club, he’s had a decent career and I’m sure he’ll leave at the end of the season.”
Adrian has started five games across all competitions for Liverpool this term, including their humiliating 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa in October.
The 33-year-old has kept just five clean sheets in 23 appearances for the Premier League champions across all competitions since his free transfer from West Ham United in 2019.
In other Liverpool news, Klopp has been backed to sell a hero “absolutely loved by fans” in January.
