Aston Villa are keeping tabs on Bolton Wanderers winger Dennis Politic ahead of January, Football Insider can reveal.

The Premier League are closely monitoring the 19-year-old after he caught the eye of their scouts with his performances since being fast-tracked into the team this season.

A Villa source has told Football Insider that the club are planning to make regular checks on Politic as they assess various top Football League talents.

Politic has burst on to the scene this campaign after a loan spell with Salford City last season.

He was among the youngsters used by the club to fulfil their early-season fixtures while they faced the financial abyss.

Unlike many of the other rookies, Politic has kept his place in the side following the capture of nine signings on deadline day at the start of last month.

The wide attacker has delivered some exciting displays among his 11 appearances, and has scored against Rochdale and Bradford in the cup competitions.

He looks integral to Keith Hill’s plan to play attacking football at Bolton as the team looks to bounce back from a testing start to the campaign.

Politic is a Romania youth international who has graduated from the ranks at Wanderers after joining the club at Under-15 level.

Bolton now face a fight to keep hold of the rising star, with clubs ready to capitalise on their financial problems by luring him away for a bargain fee.

Bolton are next in action on Saturday week as their against Burton Albion on Saturday has been postponed due to call-ups for national squads.
