Darren Bent has claimed that Everton striker Moise Kean must have the “best agent on earth” to have secured a loan move to PSG.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Tottenham forward argued that the transfer was a “crazy” development, but questioned whether it was the right move to aid the player’s personal growth.
The 20-year-old Italy international completed a shock transfer to the Champions League finalists last weekend, as confirmed by the Toffees, and will spend the entirety of this season in the French capital.
But while Bent has admitted that he understands the player wanting to star alongside some of the best talents in world football, he has also suggested that Kean could struggle for minutes in Paris.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “First and foremost, he must have the best agent on earth to get a move to PSG because that is crazy.
“He’s going there, I understand it. He’s probably sitting there thinking ‘I’m sitting on Everton’s bench, I may as well go and sit on PSG’s’.
“At least he’ll get to play with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, players like that. He might as well go and do that.
“It has been difficult for him and he has found it really tough, but if he does need game time, I don’t think he’s going to get it there.”
Kean signed for Everton from Juventus last summer in a deal worth around £25 million, but has struggled to make an impact at Goodison Park.
Last season yielded just eight starts across all competitions, with Kean scoring twice in a total of 33 appearances.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have been tipped to sell a new signing for big profit.
