Birmingham City have enquired about signing Fulham attacker Luke Harris, sources have told Football Insider.

The League One giants are keen to take the attacking midfielder on loan for next season, injecting some youth into the team.

However, Fulham would prefer the 19-year-old to join a Championship club rather than a third-tier club like Birmingham.

Harris is highly rated at Fulham, where he has been playing football since 2019.

The attacking midfielder impressed through Fulham’s youth system, which saw him play for the Under 18s squad when he was 15 years old.

Harris did spend the second half of last season playing in League One as he had a loan spell at Exeter City.

Birmingham are ready to offer Luke Harris valuable game time

Harris played 21 times for Exeter last season in League One, scoring four goals and providing two assists as he adjusted to the division.

The attacking midfielder does have four Premier League appearances under his belt with Fulham, but he now requires regular game time to take his career to the next level.

That is something that Birmingham would be able to offer as the club attempts to return to the Championship.

Harris isn’t the only young player that the League One club are currently targeting though, as Aston Villa striker Louie Barry is also being monitored.
