The 21-year-old, who has three years left on his current contract, joined the Russian giants two years ago from Slovenian side NK Rudar Velenje.

He has scored five goals in 53 league games for CSKA and also has experience playing in the Champions League and Europa League.

Hannover 96 finished sixth in last season’s 2. Bundesliga as they looked to make an immediate return to the German top flight.

They finished seven points behind third place and a chance at the promotion play-offs and 10 points behind the automatic promotion places.

Boss Kenan Kocak has already added 10 players to his squad in the transfer window but have only paid a fee for Ghanaian midfielder Patrick Twumasi.
