Stevenage and Shrewsbury have joined Bolton Wanderers in the chase for Charlton Athletic midfielder Terry Taylor in this month's transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Taylor, who has appeared 14 times this season, has been unable to get back in the side in recent weeks after losing his place due to illness.

Charlton are open to loan offers for the 23-year-old as they feel they are well stocked in the midfield department.

News of his availability has alerted League One rivals Stevenage, Shrewsbury and Bolton - who are keen to do a deal before the 3 February transfer deadline.

The Wales and Scotland youth international has played 934 minutes of action in his 14 appearances this term.

11 of those outings have come as part of the starting lineup for Nathan Jones' side.

Taylor joined Charlton from Burton Albion in July 2023 and is under contract at The Valley until June 2026.

He played 69 times for the Brewers and racked up seven assists before getting a move to the Addicks.

The midfielder started his youth development at Aberdeen and Wolves and played once for the Premier League side before leaving in 2021.

Shrewsbury

Charlton sit 11th in League One, while Bolton are 10th in the third tier after losing in the playoff final last season.

Stevenage and Shrewsbury sit 14th and 22nd respectively in the League One table.
