Exclusive: Michael Brown makes major Harry Winks transfer claim
Michael Brown claims that Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks will be a man in demand during the summer transfer window.
The former Spurs and Leeds midfielder, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, insists that the 24-year-old is a player that “many teams would love” to have in the middle of the park.
The Mirror report that Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made Winks one of his top targets ahead of the summer window, with a £40million valuation on his head.
Brown believes that a number of clubs will be scouting the England international during the second half of the season, suggesting that he is set to play a big part under Jose Mourinho.
Asked about the speculation over the midfielder’s future, Brown told Football Insider: “For sure people will be watching Harry Winks because he can play that holding role.
“He’s so comfortable on the football, there’s many teams who would love Harry Winks, that’s for sure. He’s set for a real run of games and he’s a wonderful player.”

Winks has featured a total of 30 times already this season, with Mourinho playing him in all but five games since taking over from Mauricio Pochettino.
His performances in north London have also earned him a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad, with six caps and a single goal under his belt for the Three Lions.
