Hull City midfielder Max Sheaf is on the verge of joining Cheltenham Town, Football Insider understands.
The 19-year-old is highly-regarded at Hull, but the club feel he will benefit by going out on loan this season to gain valuable first-team experience.
A City source has told Football Insider that Cheltenham have agreed to sign Sheaf on loan ahead of a number of other Football League clubs.
The League Two outfit have moved quickly to agree a deal with Hull for the teenager ahead of the closure of the transfer window next week.
Sheaf broke into the first team at Hull last season under Nigel Adkins, making three substitute appearances in the Championship, FA Cup and EFL Cup.
The teenager, who joined Hull as a 16-year-old after leaving Arsenal, is under contract at the KCOM Stadium until 2021 after signing a new deal last December.
