Darren Bent admits he was shocked to see promising right-back Luke Matheson move from Rochdale to Wolves on transfer deadline day.
The former Aston Villa and England striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says that the hard yards come now for the 17-year-old after securing his switch to a Premier League side.
Wolves confirmed on the last day of January that the teenager had signed a contract at Molineux and that he would return to the League One side for the rest of the 2019/20 campaign.

Bent says that the young prospect has made a significant step in getting a deal with a Premier League side but that proving his worth is going to be a whole new challenge.
Bent told Football Insider: “It came as a shock, it was a surprise when they signed him but he’s obviously one for the future, he’s still young.
“It’s about getting to the Premier League, and once you get to the Premier League it’s down to yourself – can you do the business and get up to scratch and get yourself in the team?
“Getting there’s the easy part in certain times but now it’s proving that when you get in the first-team that you’re good enough.”
Matheson made waves across England earlier this season when his goal helped take Rochdale to a penalty shoot-out with Manchester United in the League Cup.
He has 31 appearances under his belt for the north west outfit, with 18 of those games coming in League One.
