Derby County have joined Millwall and Queens Park Rangers in the fight to sign Wigan Athletic striker Kieffer Moore this summer, Football Insider understands.
The giant 27-year-old is likely to leave the Latics after the club were relegated from the Championship on the final day of the season and the Lions and Hoops have already tabled bids for his capture.
A source at Pride Park has told Football Insider that the Rams have joined the hunt to sign the 6ft 4in [Transfermarkt] hitman after his fine form for Wigan.
Moore scored 10 goals and contributed five assists in 36 matches for the Latics during the 2019/20 season and also made his Wales debut back in September.
However, his efforts up front were not enough to keep the north-west outfit from the drop as the club missed out on survival by two points following their 12-point deduction for going into administration.
The former Yeovil and Barnsley star is now a man in demand among the Championship and Millwall and QPR have already tabled bids for his capture.
Moore has a total of 87 games and 18 goals under his belt in the Championship, while he has also netted 33 times in 83 matches in League One.
Derby manager Phillip Cocu is looking to bolster his side after his men finished six points and four places off the play-off spots this season.
Martyn Waghorn was the Rams’ top scorer in the Championship with 12 goals, although Chris Martin and Tom Lawrence also hit double digits with 11 and 10 strikes respectively.
