Doncaster Rovers are in talks to sign highly-rated Aston Villa attacker Callum O'Hare on loan, Football Insider understands.

A number of League One and League Two clubs have all made enquiries about taking the highly-rated O'Hare on loan, but a Doncaster source has told Football Insider that boss Darren Moore is confident of winning the race for the 21-year-old's signature.

O'Hare is highly-rated at Villa after coming through the ranks at Villa Park and he has made nine first-team appearances for the club.

However, his first-team opportunities are set to be limited this season with Villa in the Premier League and the competition for places in Dean Smith's side following the massive squad overhaul during the transfer window.

Villa are now considering letting O'Hare out on loan to get more valuable first-team experience his belt before returning to challenge for a regular spot in the Villa side.

The England Under-20 international spent the second half of last season on loan at Carlisle United and O'Hare impressed with three goals and three assists in 16 appearances for the League Two club.
