Michael Brown believes Matt Doherty may not be the only big-name player quitting Wolves this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Leeds midfielder delivered his verdict as Doherty, 28, nears a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The right back has agreed the terms of a move to Spurs for an initial fee of £12m that could rise to £16m with add ons, as revealed by Football Insider.
And now Brown has tipped impressive forward Raul Jimenez to be next out of the door at Molineux
Asked by Football Insider whether he is surprised to see Doherty move to Spurs, Brown said:“I think we’ve seen a rapid improvement for Wolves. It’s been an amazing achievement over the last few seasons.
“You’ve not wanted to see players leave but maybe this is the year where, because one or two of them have done that well, people are going to try to take them.
“Unfortunately that might be the case because they’ve had such a settled squad over that period of time.
“It’s amazing how they’ve all got the minutes and all stayed fit, relatively.
“They’ll be looking to improve it, they won’t want to see people go out of the door.
“At the top of the pitch Jimenez really excites me and will there be bids for him as well? There’s suitors for him for sure.”
Jimenez, 29, joined Wolves from Benfica initially on loan two summers ago before the move was made permanent last year.
Wolves paid £33m for the Mexican international who has scored 44 goals in 99 games for the club.
