Exclusive: Four clubs make moves to sign Aston Villa attacker

EXCLUSIVE By Pete O’Rourke

Four clubs have made moves to sign Aston Villa attacker Callum O’Hare on loan this this month, Football Insider understands.

League One pair Burton Albion and Bristol Rovers as well as League Two hopefuls Exeter City and Mansfield Town have all made enquiries about taking the highly-rated O’Hare on loan for the second half of the season.

A well placed source has told Football Insider that Villa boss Dean Smith is happy to let the attacking midfielder move on loan to get regular game time as the midfielder is unlikely to have too many first-team opportunities for the remainder of the season at Villa Park.

O’Hare, who has come through the ranks at Villa, has made just one first-team appearance this term, in the FA Cup defeat to Swansea City earlier this month.

The 20-year-old made his first-team debut against Colchester United last season in the Carabao Cup and gone on to make nine appearances in total since.

Villa are now weighing up the options from the interested parties before deciding where is best for the attacking midfielder to go out and loan.

In other Aston Villa transfer news, the club have made a move to sign a Sheffield Wednesday ace as talks over a deal have begun.
