Huddersfield Town, Hertha Berlin and Los Angeles FC are in the hunt to sign QPR defender Niko Hamalainen in the January window, Football Insider understands.
The full-back, 22, joined Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock in August on a season-long loan and he has caught the eye with a series of impressive displays.
Sources at Championship strugglers Huddersfield, Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin and his former club LAFC have told Football Insider they are all keeping tabs on Hamalainen with a view to a January deal.
Hamalainen is out of contract at Rangers next summer and his suitors know they could potentially land him for a cut-price fee in January.
A QPR source has told Football Insider the club would rather cash in on him rather than allow him to run down his contract and leave for nothing.
The versatile defender, who can play at centre-back as well as left-back, has made just six appearances for QPR since joining the club from Dallas Academy in 2018.
He had a six-month spell on loan at MLS side LAFC last season and has gone on loan again this season north of the border.
The Finland international has made 16 appearances for Kilmarnock this season, all of which have been in the starting XI.
Hamalainen is in line to represent his country at next summer’s European Championship after their first qualification to a major finals.
