Liverpool have been “besieged” with loan offers for Stefan Bajcetic, sources have told Football Insider.

Arne Slot is a huge fan of the midfielder, who missed almost all of last season due to injury but is now fully fit and available for selection.

Slot doesn’t believe Bajcetic is quite ready to take the number six position regularly though, and the Reds are still searching the market for a more experienced option.

Multiple Premier League and European clubs have enquired about signing the midfielder on loan before the transfer window closes.

A deal for Bajcetic will only occur if Liverpool manages to secure a number six signing late in the transfer window.

Liverpool have big plans for Stefan Bajcetic

Slot played Bajcetic in all of Liverpool’s pre-season fixtures and was said to be happy with his development so far.

Due to his calf injury, the youngster was only able to make six appearances for Liverpool last season in all competitions.

Bajcetic had broken into the first team during the previous season under Jurgen Klopp, making a huge impression in 11 Premier League appearances in which he thrived in multiple roles.

Liverpool

Liverpool had been closing in on a deal to sign Martin Zubimendi to fill the number six gap, but that deal collapsed.
