Man City and Man United scouts are keeping a close watch on Copenhagen sensation Roony Bardghji, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that the Manchester giants now have their talent spotters stationed at "every Copenhagen game" this season to analyse the teenage winger who has taken the Champions League by storm.

The 18-year-old has had a blistering season in the Danish top flight and the Champions League, notching 11 goals across 30 appearances in all competitions.

The two Premier League giants are among the many clubs keeping a close eye on the wonderkid, who is regarded as a potential superstar by recruitment experts "crazy" about this potential, sources say.

He recently faced and scored an 87th-minute winner against the Red Devils in the Champions League in Copenhagen's 4-3 victory in November.

He became the youngest-ever player to net against United in the competition.

The Sweden youth international is garnering attention from numerous elite-level European clubs, but the Manchester rivals have stepped up their interest.

The right winger broke into Copenhagen's first team in the 2021-22 campaign but has since established himself as a mainstay having started 14 of their 17 league games this season.

Bardghji penned a new deal in Denmark in January last year, with his contract now set to expire in December 2025.

He has made numerous appearances for his nation at both under-17 and under-21 levels, scoring seven goals across 13 outings.

Man City sit third in the Premier League table and just five points off leaders Liverpool with a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Man United have slumped to eighth after their defeat to Nottingham Forest before the new year.
