Manchester United are slashing the asking prices of their big-name bomb squad in order to get exit deals over the line, sources have told Football Insider.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Ruben Amorim's side are still yet to offload the likes of Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund despite them being frozen out and available for sale.

Sources say that Man United have no choice but to reduce the price tags of their outcasts to encourage more offers from interested parties.

The Premier League giants risk keeping the alienated players around the club for another six months, if they cannot agree sales before the window closes on 1 September.

Chelsea waiting for Alejandro Garnacho price to drop

One Man United exit that has been rumoured for a number of weeks is Garnacho's potential switch to Chelsea.

The Argentine winger was told he had no future at Old Trafford by Amorim, after publicly criticising the Portuguese manager following United's defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final.

Football Insider revealed last month that Chelsea will wait until Garnacho’s asking price is reduced before making an approach.

The Red Devils want £50million for the 21-year-old, but Enzo Maresca's side are only willing to pay £40m for his services.

‘Man United miss out on Premier League star‘

Meanwhile, Man United are reportedly set to miss out on a deal to sign long-term target Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa.

That is according to their former chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that Amorim’s side have cooled their interest in the 32-year-old.

As a result, he is growing increasingly likely to stay at Villa Park beyond the end of the transfer window and remains part of Unai Emery’s plans.

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment and also worked for the likes of Tottenham, Aston Villa, and West Ham, insisted United have made a “huge mistake” by not pushing for a deal.
