Exclusive: Paul Robinson blown away by Spurs man since 'he signed contract'
Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Giovani Lo Celso for his performances since he signed permanently for Tottenham Hotspur.
The former White Hart Lane goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed the 23-year-old has “puffed his shoulders up and puffed his chest out” following the departure of Christian Eriksen.
Lo Celso was impressive in an otherwise lacklustre Spurs display at home to Wolves on Sunday as the visitors came from behind twice to win 3-2.
The Argentine midfielder signed permanently from Real Betis in January having spent the first half of the season on loan at last season’s Champions League finalists.
When asked for his assessment of the Argentina international in recent matches, Robinson told Football Insider: “Ever since he has signed his contract he has been good.
“He was just starting to find his feet before the injury where he missed a few weeks but with Eriksen going and him signing permanently he has puffed his shoulders up and puffed his chest out and taken on that role.

“He has really stepped into that role and people do not appreciate his defensive qualities as well as his ball retention and attacking capabilities. His delivery from set plays is absolutely outstanding.
“In my opinion, Harry Winks and Lo Celso are the best for the holding midfield positions. He is going to be key to what Spurs do in the coming weeks.”
Lo Celso has scored twice in 25 appearances during his maiden season in English football.
Christian Eriksen left the Lilywhites to join Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan last month after a six-and-a-half-year spell at the club.
