Exclusive: Paul Robinson claims Liverpool may be signing 'Fantastic' Leeds player
Paul Robinson has tipped Liverpool to sign Ben White this summer after the centre-back has impressed on loan at Leeds United.
The former England number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed Jurgen Klopp would look to the 22-year-old to play alongside Van Dijk.
White has made 40 appearances so far this season before the EFL postponed all fixtures until April 3 due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
The defender on loan from Brighton has been at the heart of a Leeds defence that sits top of the Championship table and in prime position to achieve promotion.
Robinson suggested White would be the perfect replacement for Dejan Lovren this summer, was the Croat to move away from Anfield.
“They’re looking at Ben White at Leeds,” the ex-Spurs keeper told Football Insider. “Brighton will want him back.

“He has had a fantastic season and I suspect Liverpool would look at him to play alongside Van Dijk, and or Gomez.
“Lovren has not had a lot of game time but he is improved. If he leaves they will be looking at somebody like Ben White to come in.”
Lovren was understood to be close to joining AC Milan last season and with his contract expiring in the summer of 2021 his future on Merseyside is less than certain.
White is due to return to his parent club Brighton at the end of the season but with coronavirus due to delay the season it is unclear when that date will be.
