He put pen to paper on an 18-month contract at The Hawthorns and is expected to make his debut against Wolves on Saturday.
The 28-times Scotland international made six appearances for West Ham in the 2020/21 campaign, contributing two goals and one assist in three EFL Cup starts.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the arrival of Snodgrass, Robinson said: “It’s a really smart clever from Sam.
“Once again he has proved to be really smart in the transfer market. He is a player that Sam will know very well and will have done his homework on.
“Snodgrass is a player with a huge amount of Premier League experience and he will be a huge character in that dressing room.
“On the field, his qualities are there for all to see. His delivery from set plays is fantastic.
“But it is his qualities off the field that I think will be more important though. It thing it is a great first signing.”
