Exclusive: PL star set for summer free tells friends he's keen on joining Tottenham
Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser has told friends he would be keen on joining Tottenham this summer if they make a move for him, Football Insider understands.
Multiple Premier League clubs are set to battle for the signature of the 26-year-old ahead of the summer window.
A source with knowledge of Fraser’s situation has told Football Insider the Scotland international is eager to join a Champions League calibre club and Spurs would interest him.
Spurs are expected to be interested in Fraser as they won’t have a vast summer transfer kitty and are likely to need to sell before they can buy.
The Londoners signed left-sided attacker Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven for £27million in January but they could sell Erik Lamela this summer to free up an attacking slot in Jose Mourinho’s squad.
Arsenal have been most consistently linked with Fraser and pursued him closely last summer following his outstanding 2018-19 campaign.
The left-footed winger ended up remaining at Bournemouth but has been unable to hit the same heights this season.
His 32 matches in all competitions, including 21 league starts, have yielded one goal and four assists.
By comparison, the long-serving Cherries scored seven goals from 38 Premier League games the previous season as well as supplying 14 assists, a number bettered only by Eden Hazard.
Fraser joined Bournemouth from Aberdeen in 2013 and his public stance is that he does not know where he will be playing next season.
In other Tottenham news, it can be REVEALED that Daniel Levy may have a “gentleman’s agreement” over blockbuster transfer.
