Exclusive: PSG plot move to sign West Brom player in January
Paris Saint-Germain have joined the chase for highly-rated West Brom youngster Jovan Malcolm ahead of January, Football Insider understands.
Malcolm is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in the county after catching the eye for West Brom’s youth sides and he is attracting interest from the Premier League’s and Europe’s elite.
A West Brom source has told Football Insider that Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been closely monitoring Malcolm, but now French giants PSG have entered the race after watching him in action earlier this month.
Malcolm is the top scorer in the Under-18 Premier League in his first full season at Under-18 level and he has scored 11 goals in 10 games in all competitions.
The attack-minded youngster can play in a range of positions with him having featured as a centre-forward, left-winger as well as right-winger this season.
The talented attacker, who turned 17 earlier this month, is yet to sign a professional contract at West Brom so his suitors know they could land him for a cut-price compensation fee if he is not tied down to a new deal.

West Brom will be wary of the growing interest in Malcolm as they’ve already lost talented youngsters Morgan Rogers and Louie Barry to Manchester City and Barcelona respectively in the last year.
The Baggies are currently enjoying a successful campaign under Slaven Bilic with them sitting two points clear at the top of the Championship.
West Brom are next in action against fourth-placed Brentford on Saturday at the Hawthorns, with the London club going into this game on the back of beating local rivals Fulham.
Bilic’s side will be hoping to avoid defeat to the Bees at the weekend as it will see their undefeated run stretch to 13 matches.
In other West Brom news, Darren Bent urged big-name Baggies star to change his attitude or Bilic won’t hesitate to sell him.
