Alan Hutton raved about Celtic duo Ryan Christie and James Forrest for their performances in the 1-1 draw with Hibernian.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Laura O’Leary, the former Scotland international shared that there were positives for Neil Lennon to take from his side’s draw with Hibs despite their 100% start to the domestic season coming to an end.
Celtic dropped their first league points of the season against Hibernian after they had to come from behind to earn a point due to defender Kristoffer Ajer scoring an own goal.
Hutton specifically named Christie and Forrest as being positives for Celtic and stated that he thought the clash with Paul Heckingbottom’s side was a difficult one due to Hibs fighting for everything.
“I think there are positives, Christie, Forrest, these guys played really well,” Hutton told Football Insider.
“Hibs are battling for every point at the moment and so while Celtic did dominate possession and have a lot of chances, Hibs were fighting for everything and made it really difficult for them.”
Christie was the Celtic player who got on the scoresheet to earn the Hoops a point as he headed home Moritz Bauer’s cross in the 24th minute.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has scored 11 goals this season so far with three of his goals coming in his last three outings.
Despite dropping points against Hibernian, Lennon’s side still sit top of the league and are one point clear of Rangers.
