Swansea City are in advanced talks to sign Bournemouth striker Sam Surridge on loan, Football Insider understands.
Swansea have made the move for Surridge as they look to fill the void left by Oli McBurnie’s move to Sheffield United.
A number of Football League clubs have made enquiries about Surridge this summer, but a Swansea source has told Football Insider that the Welsh club has moved quickly to win the race for his signature.
Surridge is highly-rated at Bournemouth and he made his first-team debut last season with two brief substitute appearances in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan at Oldham, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances before being recalled by Bournemouth in the January transfer window.
Surridge finds himself down the pecking order in Eddie Howe’s first-team plans and the Bournemouth feels the forward would benefit from going out on loan again to get valuable first-team experience under his belt.
In other Swansea City news, the club is working on deal to sign now-available Nottingham Forest ace.
