Exclusive: Tottenham line up move to sign prolific forward after glowing scouting reports

Tottenham have lined up a move for Southend’s teenage sensation Charlie Kelman as they look to beat West Ham in the hunt for his signature, Football Insider understands.
West Ham have been leading the chase for the USA Under-18 international, but a club source has told Football Insider that now Spurs have expressed an interest in signing the prolific forward.
Tottenham scouts have been making trips to watch Kelman in action and the reports they have sent back on the player have been glowing.
The north Londoners see Kelman as a potential star in the making and the are keen to blow West Ham away as they prepare to test Southend’s resolve to hang onto their prize asset this summer.
Kelman is regarded as one of the best young talents in the country following his goalscoring exploits for Southend’s youth sides and he has broken into the first-team this season.

The teenager enhanced his growing reputation with a stunning goal from the halfway line on his first-team debut against Plymouth in January which saw him win League One Goal of the Month for January.
Kelman has gone on to make a further four appearances in League One since his debut and his potential has not gone unnoticed higher up the football pyramid with a number of Premier League and Championship sides tracking him.
