Sheffield Wednesday, Brighton and Huddersfield have joined the race to sign Wolves defender Dion Sanderson this summer, Football Insider understands.
The centre-back, 20, is due to return to Molineux at the end of this season when his Cardiff City loan expires.
A Wolves source has told Football Insider that manager Nuno Espirito Santo is ready to let Sanderson go out on loan again next season.
The Molineux coaching staff rate the young defender highly but do not yet regard him as capable of challenging for the first-team squad.
They feel he needs more experience under his belt, either at a lower-table Premier League team or one at the upper end of the Championship.
Cardiff are keen on taking Sanderson back for next season and, as revealed by Football Insider, Aston Villa are also keeping tabs on his situation.
Wolves could have a big decision to make on the destination of the versatile defender, who can play at right-back or centre-back.
The centre-back, who is the nephew of Olympic gold medallist javelin thrower Tessa Sanderson, was initially on the fringes at Cardiff.
But he started their three league matches, all at right-back, before the Championship season was postponed last Friday until at least 3 April and probably for much longer than that.
Sanderson has made only one senior Wolves appearance to date, which came with a 90-minute stint last October against Villa in the fourth round of the League Cup.
