Exclusive: West Brom set to terminate 25-yr-old deal
Filip Krovinovic’s West Brom loan is set to terminated as he prepares to head back to Benfica, Football Insider has been told.
The Croatian midfielder, 25, is surplus to requirements at the Hawthorns despite being a regular at the start of the campaign.
A West Brom source has told Football Insider that the club have agreed for Krovinovic to return to Benfica for the second half of the campaign.
That will free up some space on Albion’s wage bill for Sam Allardyce as he looks to bolster the squad in the remainder of the January window.
It has been reported that Krovinovic is heading straight to Hajduk Split for the rest of the season.
But Football Insider has been told that the central midfield may have another move lined up.

There is also interest in him from Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos as he looks at a second loan of the season.
Former Croatia Under-21 international Krovinovic has made five Premier League starts among 12 appearances in all competitions for West Brom since signing on a season-long loan.
He has featured in every matchday squad since the change of managers and played the full 120 minutes in the FA Cup defeat to Blackpool.
Allardyce, who is restricted to loan or short-term deals, would ideally like three more signings on top of the capture of Robert Snodgrass from West Ham.
