West Ham are in the market for a centre-back who can strengthen a defence that has looked wobbly in recent seasons.

This site revealed last Monday that the London club had ended their interest in James Tarkowski, 27, after a series of bids for the England international were rejected by Burnley.

The Hammers have also held talks over a potential deal for St Etienne’s Wesley Fofana but have been unable to reach an agreement.

Rodon broke into the Swansea side after their demotion from the Premier League in 2018.

The 6t 3in powerhouse has played 53 times for the club, 51 of which have come in the Championship, and is rated one of the best central defenders outside of the top flight.
