Expert expects multiple Rangers signings after deal agreed
New signings will arrive at Rangers this summer despite a “quiet” start to the transfer window.
That’s according to former Celtic hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Gers’ summer transfer business.
Rangers have welcomed John Souttar, 25, to Ibrox this summer though that deal was agreed in January.
Souttar is the only senior addition at Ibrox this summer though Connor Goldson will be staying at the club after signing a new four-year deal.
Despite a slow start to the window, McAvennie insists new signings will arrive at Ibrox before the start of the new season.
He suggested the club want to finalise the futures of the current squad before making additions.

“It seems quiet over there at Ibrox,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Celtic have only got one in and Rangers have only got the one that was sorted in January.
“You see all the Premier League clubs spending a lot of money and it’s not quite the same up here.
“Signings for Rangers will come, a few of them, I’m sure of that. They have the Europa League money and they know they have to improve to catch Celtic.
“So even if they aren’t coming in right away, they will come. Maybe they want to sort out their current squad first before going after anyone else.”
Sky Sports reported on 8 June that Rangers have not opened talks over a new deal with Allan McGregor, who is out of contract at Ibrox this summer.
It is claimed both parties want to enter negotiations but the stopper is not interested in a coaching role.
