Expert: Heung-Min Son facing Tottenham axe after what I saw in person in Lisbon
Heung-Min Son should be dropped by Tottenham for Saturday’s (17 September) game against Leicester City.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Son, 30, started as Tottenham lost 2-0 to Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday (13 September).
This was his eighth appearance of the season and he again failed to find the back of the net.
Wenham now claims the attacker should be dropped in favour of Dejan Kulusevski.
“Yet again, Son started the game, he is crying out for a rest,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“It was another performance where nothing really went for him. He is in desperate need of that rest for his own confidence really.
“He could do with coming onto the pitch, running at tired defenders towards the end of the match. He can get a couple of goals and his confidence will be right back up there.
“I’m sure that is the case. I used to say we should just keep playing Son into form but now I think we need to see a front three of Harry Kane, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski.
“Son just looks complacent and he is hampering the team at the moment because he and Kane are the main men.
“When it works, we score goals. It’s just not happening for them right now, it’s a bad run and he needs a rest.”
Son scored 23 goals in 35 Premier League outings last season.
He has 131 total goals for the club.
