Expert loves what he's spotted from Antony at Man United - 'good on you, son'
Antony’s tracking back proves why he is going to be a Man United success.
That’s according to former Rangers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the winger’s debut.
Antony, 22, made his debut for the Red Devils against Arsenal on Sunday (4 September).
As shown on Sky Sports (4 September), the right-winger scored the first goal of the game, finishing off a sweeping counter-attacking move.
The winger also started as Man United fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Real Sociedad on Thursday (8 September).
McLeish has been impressed with what he has seen so far.

“This is exactly what I said, he had to hit the ground running,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Ben Wild.
“I will tell you what, he showed a lot of personality and character in the game. You saw him celebrating with the badge when he scored.
“It’s as if he has been at Man United all his life, he knows the history of that club. What a start. The thing I really admired was his tracking back.
“He was doubling up with the full-backs and the midfielders on his side, I was thinking ‘good on you son’.
“He is playing for the coach. For him to score a goal with that beautiful finish was outstanding. He has done the first part of living up to that transfer fee.”
As revealed by Sky Sports (1 September), the deal to sign Antony is worth £86million.
The forward put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Old Trafford that includes the option of a further year.
