Expert tells Leeds United to sell Raphinha 'ASAP' after Sky update

Leeds United should look to offload Raphinha as soon as possible.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Brazilian’s future.

As per Sky Sports Transfer Centre (23 June 10:38), Spurs are intensifying their interest in Raphinha, 25, and Leeds are bracing themselves for a bid.

The Athletic reported on Wednesday (22 June) that Leeds have rejected an opening offer from Arsenal that falls well below the club’s valuation.

The attacker is in high demand this summer after impressing during his two seasons at Elland Road.

Kenny claims Leeds need to move Raphinha on as soon as possible so they can reinvest the transfer fee they receive.

“You don’t want this going on all summer, that’s the thing,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“You want it wrapped up really. He is going to go. It might be Arsenal, it might be Tottenham. I just don’t see a way he is at Leeds next season.

“That is a huge shame because he is a great player but if he is going to go, then go.

“Get him moved on as soon as possible so you have enough time to sign one or two players to replace him.

“It’s no good to anyone if he hangs around through pre-season with no one knowing what is going on.”

Raphinha scored 11 goals and chipped in with three assists during the 2021-22 Premier League season.

He joined Leeds from Rennes in the summer of 2020.
