Expert reveals Tottenham are in pole position to beat Man United to Christian Eriksen signing
Paul Robinson “would love” to see Tottenham re-sign Christian Eriksen this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane goalkeeper suggested the 30-year-old will favour staying in London because of his family.
Eriksen will be available as a free agent once his short-term deal with Brentford expires at the end of this month.
The Athletic‘s David Ornstein reported (13 June) that Man United have tabled the Denmark international a contract in the hope of beating Brentford and Spurs to his signature.
However, the same publication revealed (18 June) that Eriksen’s preference would be to stay in London.
Robinson claimed Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are a “bigger draw” than Man United.

“There is a lot of history between Eriksen and Tottenham,” he told Football Insider. “There is unfinished business.
“After everything that has happened to him, it would be a romantic return. To think that he could be back at Spurs is amazing.
“I think it’s the right fit for him. His family are used to living in London.
“Eriksen is at a stage in his career where lifestyle will be important. What happened last year will have put his life into perspective. It might not be solely a footballing decision, it will be about his family.
“In Man United and Spurs he has two great opportunities. Both are huge football clubs.
“Man United are one in transition. I believe Spurs are a bigger draw right now. I would love to see him in a Spurs shirt again.”
