Alexander Isak is more likely to leave Newcastle United this summer than some of his highly-rated teammates, sources tell Football Insider.

Sources say there is "huge" interest in the 24-year-old striker, with many top clubs interested in securing his signature in the upcoming transfer window.

Newcastle are expected to sell one star player in the year's main window to raise funds for new signings while remaining within the Premier League's financial rules.

Alongside Isak, Anthony Gordon, 23, and Bruno Guimaraes, 26, are considered the club's most valuable assets.

Newcastle United to consider Alexander Isak sale amid huge interest

Isak has scored 20 goals in 28 Premier League appearances this season, double the tally he recorded in his first season at St James' Park.

This form has been enough to attract interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham, as well as elite clubs across Europe.

Having arrived for a club-record fee of £63million from Real Sociedad in 2022, any deal for Isak would have to represent a considerable increase on that price.

Gordon and Guimaraes have also been linked with moves away from the North East, but Newcastle will not look to sell more than one key player this summer.

The sale of Isak, with his £100million price tag, would facilitate a spending spree at St James' Park, with Football Insider reporting that "spectacular" spending may be on the cards.
