Arsenal are lining up a transfer mission this week for Hungary international Dominik Szoboszlai, Football Insider can reveal.

The 18-year-old has emerged as one of Europe's most talented teenagers after establishing himself in the first team of Red Bull Salzburg last season.

An Arsenal source has told Football Insider the club will dispatch scouts to watch Szoboszlai in action for his club against Liverpool in Wednesday's Champions League clash at Anfield.

The Gunners watched him score in the opening Champions League clash against Genk earlier this month and they are big fans of a player who is tipped for big things.

Arsenal tried to sign Szoboszlai in the summer and they remain interested in him for January.

However they face competition from Premier League and European rivals, with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund among the elite clubs who have been on his trail.

The source explained that RB Salzburg have placed a £15million price tag on the in-demand youngster, who is regarded as one of the best teenagers in world football after a series of dazzling performances for club and country in the last year.

Szoboszlai has already been capped five times by Hungary, despite his tender age and the fact he does not even turn 19 until later this month.

He was a regular starter for RB Salzburg in the second half of last season, and his versatility and creativity in midfield has helped him maintain his spot this season.
