Arsenal Women fans are all agree that Stina Blackstenius must be handed a new contract after her double in the 2-1 win against Man City Women on Sunday (5 May).

The 28-year-old came off the bench to score both of her side’s goals in their Women’s Super League (WSL) win.

The Swedish international scored in the 89th and 92nd minutes after Lauren Hemp put the visitors in front in Manchester.

The forward only entered the match in the 62nd minute, as part of a triple change from manager Jonas Eidevall.

The victory means Arsenal Women are second in the WSL table, five points behind leaders Man City.

Fans of the North London outfit have now taken to social media to persuade club chiefs to immediately extend Blackstenius’s stay.
