Fulham are ready to pay £2million to sign Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen, according to a report.

The Sun claim that the Championship club are willing to offer the Scottish giants their money back on the Norway international, who joined from Stromsgodset in January 2014.

The 25-year-old was placed on the transfer list at the start of July, despite making 39 appearances for the Hoops last term.

The Cottagers have plenty of money to spend following the £12million sale of Ross McCormack to Championship rivals Aston Villa.

Johansen, who is into the final year of his Celtic Park deal after signing from Norwegian side Stromgodset, has scored an impressive 19 goals in 113 matches for the Hoops from midfield.

Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, has continued to reshape his squad this summer by making four new signings and allowing six to leave permanently. The likes of Stefan Scepovic, Darnell Fisher and Anthony Stokes have all moved to pastures new.

Rodgers has also brought in Scott Sinclair, Kolo Toure, Kristoffer Ajer and Moussa Dembele as he looks to win Celtic's 48th Scottish Premier League title.
