Chelsea will accept an offer in the region of £35million to sell Romelu Lukaku this summer, sources have told Football Insider

The Belgian international will return to the Blues once his loan deal with Serie A side Roma expires at the end of the season.

But the 31-year-old doesn’t feature in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans at Stamford Bridge and won’t play for the club again.

The forward’s contract in west London is set to expire in 2026.

Chelsea to sell Romelu Lukaku this summer

It’s been an incredibly disappointing second spell at Chelsea for Lukaku after returning in 2021 for a then-club record fee of £97.5million.

The Belgian spent last season on loan at Inter Milan before joining Roma on a temporary deal last summer.

The forward has enjoyed a reasonable stint in the Italian capital after registering 20 goals and four assists in 46 appearances this season.

Reports have suggested the Serie A club won’t look to sign him on a permanent deal due to concerns around his price tag.

That means Lukaku is likely to end up elsewhere this summer if any other interested parties decide to pursue a deal.
