Alan Hutton has claimed Erik ten Hag's future at Man United is "uncertain".

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender suggested new owners may want to shake up the club's hierarchy.

The Glazer family released a statement (22 November) searching for new investment for United in the form of a share of the club.

They are also offering interested parties the chance to buy the club outright.

Ten Hag joined the Manchester club in the summer following the departure of Ralf Rangnick.

The Dutchman's contract at Old Trafford runs until 2025.

When asked if Ten Hag's position could change if United is taken over, Hutton told Football Insider: "Probably not right now.

"There is always that uncertainty when new owners come in, do they want a new guy in? What do they want to change? That is part of it.

"Ten Hag is just in the door. I think as long as they are on the same wave length when it comes to recruitment then I am sure it will be fine.

"Ultimately he will keep his job if they are winning football games. If they are playing with a certain style, getting the best out of players, winning games, they are where they see Man United should be then I do not see any problems."
