West Ham have no plans to offer Mark Noble a new contract, Football Insider understands.

A report in the Sun today claimed the Hammers skipper had agreed a fresh two-year deal taking him beyond his 35th birthday.

A West Ham source has told Football Insider that is not the case and Noble's future at the club beyond his current agreement is up in the air.

The midfielder, 33, is under contract with the club where he has spent his entire career until the summer of 2021.

West Ham chiefs are not entered talks with Noble over a new deal and are planning any this summer.

It means the longstanding Hammers skipper will need to convince the club he can still be major asset beyond next season.

Noble has been instrumental in West Ham avoiding relegation from this season's Premier League.

He has started 30 of the club's 36 top-flight matches, including five of their eight games since the restart.

Noble has been used in a more attacking role in the last two matches, both of which have yielded convincing wins against Watford and Norwich City.

He supplied assists in each of the fixtures and has three for the campaign as well as an impressive four goals.
