Wolves youngster Chem Campbell has agreed a professional contract at Molineux to end speculation over his future, Football Insider understands.

A number of clubs in England and abroad, including German trio Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Schalke, have been monitoring Campbell's situation at Wolves following his emergence at the Premier League side.

A source at Molineux has told Football Insider that the club have agreed terms with the highly-rated youngster over his first professional contract now that he has turned 17.

Campbell became the second-youngest player to start a competitive game for Wolves earlier this season when he lined up in October's Carabao Cup defeat to Aston Villa.

Starting on the right-hand side of the forward line, Nuno handed him 68 minutes before replacing him with fellow youngster Benny Ashley-Seal on the way to a 2-1 loss.

The talented teenager, who can play in a number of roles across the midfield and attack, has been training with Nuno Espirito Santo's first-team on a regular basis this season and the club have high hopes for the young starlet's future.

Wolves have been well aware of interest from other clubs in Campbell and have moved quickly to tie him up to a professional deal to stave off his suitors.

News of Campbell's deal will come as a major boost at Molineux as the club look to secure their best young talents on professional contracts despite rival clubs circling for their capture.
