Georges-Kevin NKoudou is likely to leave Tottenham during the summer window but he will not be missed.

What a disappointment the Frenchman, the worst signing of the Mauricio Pochetinno era (yes, worse than Vincent Janssen), has been.

Football London claim the Spurs winger, 23, is in line to quit Spurs either permanently or go out on another loan following a temporary spell at Burnley in the second half of this season.

There is talk that a sensational pre-season may provide a lifeline for NKoudou, but don't bet on it.

He has blown his chance at Burnley of igniting his career in English football after failing to look anywhere near the standard required of a Champions League-calibre player since his move to Tottenham two years ago.

The former France Under-21 international has struggled to cope with the physical demands and his pace and dribbling ability have not been enough to compensate.

Sean Dyche has a habit of turning water into wine with waifs, strays and unwanted players from other clubs, but he has failed to do so with NKoudou.

The speedy wide man signed for Spurs from Marseille for what the BBC Sport site report was a £9.4million fee in the summer of 2016.

Most of his 23 appearances across all competitions for the Londoners have come as a substitute.

It has been a similar story at Burnley, where NKoudou has failed to win over the manager. He has played just six times for the club since his January move and has failed to make the matchday squad for each of the team's last three matches.

It would have benefitted all parties if the Burnley boss had been able to lick the speed machine into shape. But there has been no sign of that and surely NKoudou will return to France at the end of the season. For good.
