Rival fans were left delighted on social media after it was confirmed that Sheikh Jassim has pulled out of the running to buy Man United.

Jassim has withdrawn from the takeover process at the Premier League giants despite tabling a full-cash bid for the club.

The Qatar bid is understood to be worth double the market value of the Manchester giants, while the offer also promised to remove all debt from the club and pledge over £1billion towards infrastructure and community investment.

British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is now the frontrunner to purchase the club if the Glazer family decides to sell their majority stake.

While United fans were left disappointed by the news, rival fans basked in their sorrow on social media.

One Arsenal fan was left shocked by the 'mad' Glazers but insisted the takeover collapse was 'beautiful' news as a rival supporter.

This Chelsea supporter empathised with United fans over the news, claiming that their club is 'in the gutter'.

Other Chelsea fans were less sympathetic and chose to laugh at United's takeover news...

This Liverpool fan believes a United downfall is on the cards after the takeover collapse, with Qatar's withdrawal being 'great news for everyone except Man United'.

Meanwhile, Tottenham fans were busy hoping that Sheikh Jassim would turn his attention towards buying their club.
