Leeds United are plotting a summer swoop for Manchester City winger Brandon Barker, Football Insider can reveal.

The Whites are in the market for wide attackers this summer and could look to bring in at least two recruits who can play out wide.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider the club are targeting Barker, 22, after he spent the recently-completed season on loan at Championship rivals Preston North End.

He is out of contract at the Premier League treble winners in a year's time but United are more likely to explore a loan rather than a permanent deal.

Barker has graduated from the Man City youth ranks but has played just one senior game for his parent club despite being capped by England at Under-20 level.

The attacker has had spell on loan at Hibernian, NAC Breda and Rotherham United, as well as at Preston, where he scored two goals and supplied two assists from 20 matches in 2018-19.
