Leeds fans destroyed Modou Barrow on Twitter after his anonymous full debut for the club in their 2-0 Championship defeat to Brentford on Tuesday night.

Garry Monk handed the on-loan Swansea player his first start since joining on deadline day in the January window.

But Barrow, 24, made little impact and was substituted after 66 minutes and replaced by fellow attacking midfielder Kemar Roofe.

The Ghanian has made just five appearances in total for Leeds, four of which have come as a second-half substitute.

Supporters made it clear they were unimpressed with the display of the club's reported top earner against mid-table Brentford as the team succumbed a second consecutive league loss.

The Daily Star, citing information from the 2017 version of Football Manager, claim that Barrow earns £20,000-a-week while at Elland Road.

This places the winger ahead of the likes of Championship 24-goal top scorer Chris Wood, four-times Spain international Pablo Hernandez and defensive kingpins Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley.

Leeds are picking up the tab for Barrow in the second half of the season, which he is spending on loan after joining from Premier League club Swansea.

Despite the setback at Griffin Park, Garry Monk's side remain on course for a place in the end-of-season play-offs.

They are fifth in the Championship table, five points ahead of Fulham in seventh.
