Leeds United have been told to cash in on Ilia Gruev amid reported interest from Borussia Dortmund, with a fee upwards of £10million mooted.

Reports from Germany suggested that the Champions League finalists are interested in making a move to sign Gruev, 24, after an impressive season at Elland Road.

Having arrived for just £5million from Werder Bremen last summer, fans think a deal to double their money at around £10million should be one the club agrees to.

The midfielder made 35 appearances for Leeds despite initially struggling to break into the team, scoring the opening goal in the 4-0 playoff semi-final against Norwich.

Following their failure to earn promotion to the Premier League, Football Insider revealed Leeds will be forced to sell players this summer to fight off financial struggles.

Gruev could be the first of those major sales, with fans insisting Leeds should "take the money", with several possible replacements named.
