Liverpool have already found two replacements for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after £10m report - pundit
Paul Robinson has claimed Liverpool already have two potential replacements for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in their ranks.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Spurs and England number one said Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are ahead of Oxlade-Chamberlain in the pecking order at Anfield.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 28, has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield.
According to the Irish Mirror (21 July), West Ham are weighing up a £10million bid for the centre-midfielder.
David Moyes is looking to strengthen his midfield after missing out on Jesse Lingard to Nottingham Forest.
When asked by Football Insider if the Reds could afford to let Oxlade-Chamberlain leave without signing a replacement, Robinson said:
"I think Jurgen Klopp will be looking for Jones and Elliott to step up and play 30-odd games next season.
"That is why I think there is an opportunity for other teams to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain.
"It is also why Klopp has said he won't go in for another midfielder in this window. It doesn't look like they'll sign a midfielder until next summer.
"The two young lads will play ahead of Oxlade-Chamberlain next season.
"I am sure the manager would consider that if West Ham bid for Oxlade-Chamberlain."
Oxlade-Chamberlain contributed three goals and three assists in 29 appearances across all competitions last season.
Elliott and Jones made 11 and 27 appearances each respectively in the 2021-22 campaign.
