Liverpool will listen to offers for attacking trio Christian Benteke, Mario Balotelli and Joao Teixeira this summer, Football Insider sources understand.

Jurgen Klopp is ready to offload the two senior forwards and the winger as he begins the overhaul of the squad he inherited at Anfield.

Benteke has had a wretched season following his £32.5million transfer from Aston Villa and Balotelli, who is on loan at AC Milan, is not part of Klopp's plans.

Teixeira is out of contract at the end of the season and has rejected an extension in favour of a transfer, with Fiorentina leading the chase for his signature.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Liverpool hope to use the funds from the sales of Benteke and Balotelli, as well as use the space created on their wage bill, to strengthen the squad.

Benteke went public on Wednesday with his dismay at being frozen out by Klopp after slipping behind Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and even attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino in the pecking order to lead the front line.

"Some team-mates have said that I was lucky with the arrival of Klopp, because I certainly would play," said Benteke told Belgian outlet Sport/Voetbalmagazine. "When your coach says he wanted to take you to Dortmund and a little later you sit at the same club and he ignores you, it is hard to understand.

"I do not understand why people say that [I cannot fit in at Liverpool]. I can play pressing and moving a lot. It is not that we play in the Barcelona style."

Balotelli is due to return to parent club Liverpool in the summer when his season-long loan at Milan ends.

However, the player's agent Mino Raiola will be tasked with finding him yet another club at the end of a season in which he has scored just three goals in the 16 matches he has played for the Italian club.

The Serie A giants have been unimpressed by the 25-year-old and they are not willing to pay anywhere near Liverpool's £16million valuation of the forward.
